Small Business of the Year
The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce awarded Music Showcase their most prestigious award at the annual awards dinner, October 20th, 2005, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Heather Ochalek, Owner and President of Music Showcase, graciously accepted the Small Business Award on behalf of the many staff members and teachers who make this business strong.
Cheering Heather on at the event was her husband, Andy (her ‘right hand’ in running the day to day operations), her parents who flew in from Pennsylvania, her grandparents from St. Petersburg, and friends & associates from Music Showcase. In attendance were three important individuals who were with Heather when she started the business 10 years ago: Dean Richards, representative to the schools; Betty Keene, sales associate; and Mike Leone, expert brass repair technician. Such mutual admiration is what makes Music Showcase a great place to work. Heather understands that her vision is only a dream without the talented and loyal people needed to make it a reality. This award is for all the staff and teachers who work hard everyday at Music Showcase for you.
Minority & Woman-Owned Business Award
Hard work (mixed with talent and skill) does have its rewards. That’s what we teach our children, right. Well, in the case of Heather Ochalek, owner of Music Showcase, October was her time to get a much deserved pat on the back. On October 6th, at the 2005 Diversity Awareness Luncheon which is sponsored by the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce, Heather was recognized for her leadership, business accomplishments, and service to the community. Congratulations, Heather!
