Status: I have been on faculty at Music Showcase since 2005.

Teach: Piano / Keyboard, and Music Theory: All ages from as young as 4 years old till ? / Levels: Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Composition, Music Apps and Digital Audio: This is usually geared toward more Intermediate to Advanced music students.
However, I teach even my youngest students Composition & related techniques.
Education: Private lessons from 4 years old into college.

B.M. in Piano Performance with an Educational bias
M.M. in Composition/Electronic Music

Short Bio: Was Principal Pianist/Keyboardist on staff for 6 Years at Fishhawk Fellowship.
Currently Principal Pianist/Keyboardist on staff at First Baptist Church of Riverview.
I have played music in Church usually on staff, since 12 years old.
First Professional paid job was at 12 years old.
I have taught Music for at least 25 years.
I Started lessons at the age of 4, and have literally been performing and composing all my life. I used to pick out melodies and harmonies extremely well by ear that I heard on the radio or records...so my folks made sure I got lessons throughout my early childhood right into college. I have had many different teachers and professors, some were classical based, some were jazz and modern based. The variety of their instruction truly helped me in all the areas of music study.
I have played on the road professionally in every state of USA but (2). Have been to Germany and Austria in a musical capacity. Served as Music Director for 2 national show-band tours. Have done many significant recording sessions in Nashville and Florida...and I still do.
I still perform live...All The Time ! ... either as Solo Artist or with various groups in the area.
I can play and teach virtually all styles of music: Classical, Jazz, Contemporary Top 40, Church/Praise and Worship (old and new), Ambient, Soundtrack, and various World Music styles.
If your searching for, and demand / expect the highest level of qualifications and experience in your teacher, and you really want your student or yourself to truly and honestly learn how to play music, then you have just found one of the most experienced and qualified teachers at Music Showcase. Quality of the teacher means absolutely so much concerning the students success rate.
Please take lessons from a competent teacher who actually took the time, dedication, and education necessary to learn & play their instrument at the highest quality standards and has done so for many many years. I also own/operate a very elaborate, private home recording studio: equipped with the latest in computer software apps, DAW and MIDI production equipment, many synthesizers and other assorted hardware.
I also have been blessed with a very nice teaching/recording setup at Music Showcase, with 2 good digital pianos (I teach my students side by side to give them breathing room! this is how one is usually taught in college as well) and 1-2 other synthesizers or midi controllers. I am able to record students from inside my class, burn a CD or video DVD for them of their performances (students and parents both love that), we can create composition tracks/loops, and I obviously also teach basic fundamental musical skills and theory via my lecture/lesson notes and computer applications.
On a closing note:
To say that I Love Music with all my Heart, Soul, Mind, and Body is a drastic understatement ! Music, Teaching, Performing, Composition ARE my life !
I am a very fun...passionate...but most of all: an excellent teacher of music.
A few things I do expect from students whether small child, teen, or adult, is:
A Sincere Desire To Learn, Open Mind, Willingness To Grow, Self Discipline in Practice Time. An Open Heart To Love Music to one's full potential !
