Richard is currently studying at the University of South Florida and
pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree. He has been playing bass for six years
and has been privileged to study under several well-established bassists in
the area, including Dee Moses (Principal Bassist of the Florida Orchestra),
Mark Neuenschweander (University of South Florida Jazz Bass Professor), and
T.J. Glowacki (bass professor at Hillsborough Community College). Richard
performs in the University of South Florida Jazz Ensemble and in the USF
Orchestra, and was honored as Performer of the Semester in Jazz while
studying at the university. Mr. Jimenez has also been a member of the
Hillsborough Community College Big Band, and has performed for Moffit Cancer
Center, the USF Alumni House, and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. In addition
to classical studies, Richard enjoys playing bass for local venues, and has
been fortunate to collaborate with musicians as a part of two local rock
bands called Lush Progress and Radio Amp.
