Replacement & Repair Program (R&R)

Available only to customers who have a rental or lease account with Music Showcase.

Comprehensive Maintenance Program (CMP)

Available to customers who own their instrument. Instruments must be in good playing condition. Subject to inspection and approval by our technicians.

Maintenance Services By Instrument

The following services are offered for both R&R and CMP programs. The only differences between the programs are the fees and the customer's terms of ownership.

Violins/ Violas  
Replace bow hair (at Music Showcase's discretion) and other bow parts.  
Reset bridge (replacement if necessary), sound post, tail piece, nut, and tailgut.  
Regulate and repair slipping pegs.  

Cellos/ Basses  
Replace bow hair (at Music Showcase's discretion) and other bow parts.  
Reset bridge (replacement if necessary), sound post, tail piece, nut, and tailgut.  
Regulate and repair slipping pegs.

Trumpets/ Cornets  
Replace necessary springs, felts, and corks.  
Clean, oil, and regulate pistons and slides.  
Silver-solder any broken keys or loose braces.  
Free frozen slides.  
Pull frozen mouthpieces.  
Repair dents in bell flare.  

Trombones  
Replace waterkey cork.  
Remove minor dents, clean, and align playing slide.  
Silver-solder broken or loose braces.  
Free frozen slides.  
Pull frozen mouthpieces.  
Repair minor dents in bell flare.  

French Horns  
Re-string and regulate rotary valves.  
Silver-solder broken or loose braces.  
Free any frozen slides.  
Pull frozen mouthpieces.  
Repair minor dents in bell flare.  

Baritones/Euphoniums  
Replace necessary springs, felts, and corks.  
Replace waterkey cork.  
Clean, oil, and regulate pistons and slides.  
Silver-solder broken or loose braces.  
Free frozen slides.  
Pull frozen mouthpieces.  
Repair minor dents in bell flare.

Replace necessary pads, corks, springs, etc.

Oboes  
Replace necessary pads, corks, springs, etc.  
Regulate mechanism and perform leak-test.  
Silver-solder any broken keys.  
Free frozen keys.  
Fill and/or pin body cracks.  
Tighten joints and bell rings.
