Summer Music & Theatre Camp 2008
We are excited to offer a variety of music and theatre programs to keep you entertained and learning throughout the summer. All of these programs are conducted at our Brandon, Florida store. If you have questions about any of our summer programs, call us at 813-685-5998. To sign up, just fill out the registration form below and mail it to us with your check, or bring it in to our store.

Group Guitar Classes

Do you want both group cooperation and individual attention within a small class size? Focusing on a variety of musical genres, our group guitar lessons offer a relaxed environment for confident learning and participation.

Rock Band

Tired of playing by yourself? This week-long jam session will stretch your skills and provide an opportunity to perform with other musicians. Positions are limited, so sign up soon.

Jazz Band

Blues, Rock, Funk or Swing! Step out of the box and learn new styles. This session is open to saxophone, trumpet and trombone players, keyboard, bass guitar, guitar and drummers. Two years of experience is required. Must also be able to read music notation.

Percussion Ensemble
July 21 - 25 (1:30pm – 3:30pm) $100

A mini camp for percussionists who want to play pieces for percussion only as a group. Experience drum set, bongos, congas, timbales, marching percussion, and more. One year experience is required.

Piano Ensemble
June 3 - 26 (Thursdays, 4:00pm - 5:00pm, plus weekly private session) $175
Play ensemble pieces such as duets for 1 piano/4 hands and 2 pianos/4 hands. Includes music theory activities, listening exercises, interactive feedback from the students and instructor, and private smaller group sessions within the structure of the larger group.
Class meets on Thursdays from 4:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. for one hour per session. Students will have an additional private duet session once per week to be scheduled with the instructor.

Beginning Violin (Ages 3-7)
June 16 - 20 (2:00pm - 3:15pm) $90 + $35 annual fee
July 21 - 25 (2:00pm - 3:15pm) $90 + $35 annual fee
Music Showcase wants to give younger violin students the opportunity to be exposed to different methods for learning violin and then have parents and students decide which method worked for that particular student. The beginning violin class will merge traditional violin with Suzuki Method for a unique and beneficial learning experience.

Mini-Musicians (Ages 5 –7)

Mini-Musicians is a general music, group class for children ages 5-7. Campers learn musical concepts and vocabulary. They’ll have theme days, games, activities and lots of fun as they prepare for private lessons in the fall.

Musical Theatre
Our musical theatre is the best! Directors Joy Rodgers and Miguel Oquendo make musicals come to life right before your eyes on our professional stage. Fees includes individual and group coaching, set, prop and costume design, certificate, free t-shirt, free ticket, cast party and memories to last a lifetime.
