FAOPA: Competition Team… Should Your Child Try Out Next Year?

Florida Academy of Performing Arts Competition Team started in Fall 2021. The competition team is an audition-based group made up of ages 8 – 18 whom travel to several competitions throughout the United States. This is a year long program that works collaboratively to perform a 13–15-minute piece that is cohesive and competition worthy. Students learn pantomime skills, character development, ensemble and solo vocal skills, challenging choreography, and how to work on a technical level.
