Music Showcase’s Showcase Players Jr. is bringing the beloved musical Bugsy Malone Jr. to life on stage, and you won’t want to miss it! This hilarious and high-energy show is based on the hit 1976 film starring Scott Baio and Jodie Foster, featuring a toe-tapping score by the composer of The Muppet Movie.

Set in a world where the kids run the show, Bugsy Malone Jr. is a comedic take on 1920s gangster movies. Rival gangs battle for power using the infamous “splurge” gun (think whip cream, not bullets!), while our charming hero, Bugsy, finds himself caught in the middle. He just wants to spend time with his sweetheart, Blousey, but with chaos brewing, that’s easier said than done!

Our Showcase Players Jr. program is designed specifically for middle school students, whether they have prior theatre experience or are stepping on stage for the first time. Through this program, students develop skills in acting, choreography, voice projection, set design, and teamwork—all while having a blast!
