Summer is officially making a splash, and we couldn’t be more excited!

This weekend marks the beginning of our first Summer Music Theater production, and what a way to kick off the season! The talented young performers of Florida Academy of Performing Arts are bringing The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition to life on stage—and trust us, you won’t want to miss it.

With an incredible 16 performances presented by multiple casts, audiences will have plenty of opportunities to dive under the sea and experience the fun, laughter, music, and heart of this unforgettable show.

Based on the beloved characters from Bikini Bottom, The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition follows SpongeBob and his friends as they face an unexpected challenge when a volcano threatens their underwater home. Through friendship, teamwork, determination, and a whole lot of optimism, these young performers tell a story that reminds us all that even the most unlikely heroes can make a difference.

But this isn’t just a show—it’s a celebration of creativity, confidence, and the incredible growth that happens when children step onto a stage.
